Review:

The story of a nerd falling in love with the most beautiful prince/princess in school is a common plot in teen movies. Then, why we have to watch this one? The answer is Chris Colombus, the box office director and producer. After he directed two Harry Potter movies, we almost forgot that his specialization before was in comedy genre.

Like in other Colombus’ movies, this film has its own proportion of laugh and moral lessons. The good thing about his movie is, it has a warm sense of humor instead of  a string of gross out jokes.

So, does this movie good? Not really. There are a lot of gap in the story. Why did Dennis fall in love with Beth? And the most weird, why Beth even want to go out with Dennis? In this movie, Dennis looked like a total idiot, he didn’t even show any good side of him. Of course he still looks like a nice and warm-hearted boy, but that’s about all.

What I really enjoyed to saw was Hayden Panettiere performance. Not her acting, because it was dull, but her overall figure. She really looked cute and the typical of girl which every boy in the school would proud to be her boyfriend. She really has a different kind of sexiness compared to others young adults like Megan Fox, Blake Lively or Ashley Greene.
