Indiana Jones 4: Kingdom of The Crystal Skull
Only for Those Who Haven’t Seen The Previous Three Movies

The Story:
During the Cold War, Soviet agents watch Professor Henry Jones (Harrison Ford) when a young man brings him a coded message from an aged, demented colleague, Henry Oxley. Led by the brilliant Irina Spalko (Cate Blanchett), the Soviets tail Jones and the young man, Mutt (Shia LaBeouf), to Peru. With Oxley’s code, they find a legendary skull made of a single piece of quartz. If Jones can deliver the skull to its rightful place, all may be well; but if Irina takes it to its origin, she’ll gain powers that could endanger the West. Aging professor and young buck join forces with a woman from Jones’s past to face the dangers of the jungle, Russia, and the supernatural.

Review:
Actually, I watched this movie over a year ago, and it was felt incredibly entertaining. But, I decided to see it once more after I watched all the three previous movies recently. And what? It now feels like a dejavu, like going through all my childhood once more.
Yup, this movie offers nothing new that we couldn’t saw in the previous titles, except the stunning special effects of course. The story pretty much the same, searching for artifact that can help the bad guys conquer the world. This time The Nazi was replaced by The Soviet.
Nothing fresh also about the characters relationship. Mutt feeling to Indiana similar to Indiana feeling to his father (Sean Connery) from The Last Crusade title, the urgency to prove himself to his father. While Indiana and Marion chemistry also about the same compared to Raider of The Lost Ark (what confused me how Indy still looks so macho and fresh while Marion seems gain so much weight, considering both still played by the same casts as before).
But if you haven’t seen all the franchises, don’t even listen to me. This movie is quite delightful. The visuals are a feast for the eyes. The dialogues are well written, smart and funny. Indiana Jones surely one of the most famous movie characters ever.
