Review:

If a studio dares to spent $80 million for a comedy movie, that’s because there is Adam Sandler in it. Collaborating yet again with director Dennis Dugan, any title they produce is guaranteed to be a box-office monster. But what about the film’s quality?

Adam Sandler-Dennis Dugan’s formula is always simple: shallow plot, predictable ending, dirty jokes, add with little family touch, and bunch of sexy girls. It worked in their previous movies, and it also works in Just Go With It. This means you’ll get what you’d expected from this film, a no brainer, yet very entertaining.

What about the characters?  Nothing to say about Adam Sandler, he just appears right on his standard. Jennifer Aniston also performs on her usual sweetness, nothing new. What surprising is how Nicole Kidman is willing to starred in this kind of comedy movie, and it’s unexpected fun too. The 11-year-old Bailee Madison is incredible as Katherine’s daughter, Maggie, an actress wannabe that try to mimic British Cockney accent during the whole movie. Too bad I can’t say the same about Nick Swardson, who plays as Eddie who wants to fake German accent.

Running in 110 minutes, Just Go With It is probably half an hour too long. But with bunch of sexy actresses, this movie is an eye candy. I mean, how can we skip seeing Jennifer Aniston and Brooklyn Decker in bikini, or Nicole Kidman dancing hula?

  1. Damon says:

Even though there is a lot of talk about how predictable Just Go With It was, but in all honesty, I really liked it. Jennifer Aniston and Adam Sandler were perfect in this movie. I can’t wait to see this movie again! I know that the Blockbuster Movie Pass was released earlier this week! I am really excited because the Blockbuster Movie Pass will give customers a huge selection of DVDs like Just Go With It, along with TV shows and games by mail. Since it is being offered by DISH Network (who is also my employer), there are 20 channels that are included with the Movie Pass in addition to the thousands of movies and shows that you can stream to your TV or PC! Blockbuster also has many stores that you can exchange DVDs at and Blu-Rays are included! For all that, I think $10 is such a great price.
