Missing Screen: Zuleikha Robinson
There are many actors and actresses that deserve more attention than they’ve got right now, such as Zuleikha Robinson and Kiele Sanchez. There are probably not much people who familiar with the name Zuleikha Robinson, but she has starred in couple good films, they are The Merchant of Venice and Hidalgo.
Although, Zuleikha Robinson got her most notable role not from Hollywood’s movie, but from Indian’s production, The Namesake. This is a film from famous Indian director, Mira Nair, and received favorable reviews from American and international critics. In The Namesake, Zuleikha Robinson, who has an Indian blood from her mother, played a Bengali character called Moushumi Mazumdar. Too bad that in this 2007 film was the last time we ever see her on big screen.
