Movie Review as an Essay Topic

This is possible because film has various themes that suitable with daily life, and it also can be saw from various point of views. - Watch the movie, pay attention to the details, take a notes.
- Write general information about the movie, such as the director, lead actors, plot. Don’t write it down in one paragraph though, spread it out in the entire article.
- Give your opinion. Well, this is what movie reviews are all about. Audience want to know the opinion from someone who has already seen the film, and the reason why you gave that opinion. For example, if you don’t like the acting, you need to state why and give a “proof”.
- Some of the details that you can include in your review are:
- Directing style, you can compare it with previous movies from the same director.
- Actors, how good/bad they acted.
- Technical, including special effects, editing, costume, etc.
- Background set, a bad movie can looks good if they were shot in an exotic places.
- Musics and Soundtracks, whether they are annoying, beautiful, outdated, too much, or else.
- Give a conclusion with something memorable. The point is, what do you want the audience to expect from the movie. Something like “This film is nice for Saturday night couch, but you’ll forget it in the morning” will do.
- For an essay writing, you might want to underline the facts from the movie, and compare its relevance with real-life situation.
